Congratulations to Katherine Donahue and her team for releasing Prism of You (2025) on Steam! This beautiful, mysterious, and whimsical game was a labor of love spanning over 20 months. As a player, you can “experiment with emotions in this emergent sandbox simulation by identifying, engaging, and expressing dynamic creatures known as Emoes – all while trying to maintain balance and uncover the secrets of this mysterious alien world.”
The Creative Media & Behavioral Health Center and USC Games have a long legacy of MFA thesis projects inspired by behavioral science, promoting health literacy, and using storytelling to help us understand the lived experiences of others. While some projects remain in R&D or beta as alumni pursue full-time careers, a handful are released for the public to enjoy. We are proud to have mentored games that have won over 45 awards in festivals and conferences, and we can’t wait to see what the students create next!
