ALUMNI CAREERS PANEL
Join a dynamic discussion and discover how an interdisciplinary education can shape your growth as a leader and catalyst for play-centered and human-centered innovation in the fields that need it most. All three graduates are alumni of the MA in Cinematic Arts with an emphasis in Media Arts, Games & Health from the USC Creative Media & Behavioral Health Center and USC Games.
MORGAN KULIGOWSKI ‘21 is a NASA Payload Operations Director at the George C. Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. The youngest in the history of NASA to hold this title, she is responsible for leading the payload operations flight control team and managing the execution of all NASA science experiments aboard the International Space Station. Previously, Kuligowski supported NASA’s Space Medicine Operations Division as a flight controller in Mission Control Houston. Outside of supporting real-time operations, she is interested in utilizing immersive technologies to increase astronaut autonomy for long-duration missions. During her graduate studies, she contributed to a novel psychology study for mindful play using remote data collection methods in games, and conducted research in XR applications in aerospace. Morgan was an NCAA Division I athlete and holds a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Classical Perspectives from USC.
GARRETT FLYNN ‘22 is an applied research engineer with a passion for making neurotechnology widely accessible through browser-based applications. As a senior software engineer at Universal Brain, he leads the development of FDA-regulated software that measures event-related potentials to support the mental health diagnosis and treatment, including depression. During his graduate studies, he spearheaded Brains@Play, a transdisciplinary initiative to engage the public through brain-responsive applications. This project evolved into a startup focused on developing web and cross-platform neurotechnology solutions. He collaborated closely with Catalyst Neuro to build a desktop app that helps researchers convert and share data using the Neurodata Without Borders (NWB) standard. Previously, he translated complex scientific research into real-world applications that advance understanding, expand accessibility, and improve patient care. Garrett holds a BS in Computational Neuroscience with a minor in Multimedia Scholarship from USC.
WENDI WU ‘21 is a creative producer with extensive experience in game production, live operations, and cross-cultural project management. During her graduate studies, she researched how interactive media can bridge entertainment, user behavior, and community. Professionally, Wendi has led production on multiple game projects, including well-known IP titles, guiding them from concept through live operations. She collaborated with U.S.-based design teams, China-based development and art teams, and global IP holders, ensuring alignment on creative vision, gameplay, and brand standards. Her work included driving production pipelines, managing asset approvals, and tailoring features for North American audiences through user research and competitive analysis. Building on her gaming background, Wendi now applies gamification strategies and local user habit research in livestream commerce, creating innovative ways to drive user growth, boost sales, and inspire meaningful connections. Wendi holds a graduate certificate from the USC Business of Entertainment program, and a dual BS/BA in Applied Mathematics and Visual and Performing Arts from UCSD.
