ART BREAK installation opens at Theagenion Cancer Hospital of Thessaloniki

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Clinical Skills Research and Education Society, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Primary Health Care, General Medicine and Health Services Research of the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, MOMus – Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, the School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) of the University of Southern California and with the contribution of the Cancer Guidance Center (K3), launched the implementation of the installation “Art Break”, on Thursday, February 1, 2024, on the 9th floor of the Theagenion.

CMBHC Director Marientina Gotsis and Visiting Professor at the Laboratory of Primary Health Care, General Medicine and Health Services Research of the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki co-curated the installation with Maria Kokorotskou, Curator of Education for MOMus – Thessaloniki Museum of Photography. ART BREAK is is an “art room” with two collections of works. The first includes photographs from MOMus, which will be displayed through virtual reality (VR), with the possibility of interaction. The second includes short animation films from SCA faculty, students and alumni and independent European producers.

The installation will be open for one month, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 to 13:00 and every Wednesday from 13:00 to 17:00.

ART BREAK is sponsored by the “Points of Support” programme – a partnership of 10 Greek Foundations and is addressed to small Civil Society organisations in Greece, supporting them in implementing innovative small-scale actions with maximum social impact, in strengthening their structures and in building the capacities that will help them remain viable.
