We are proud to announce that our alumna and Visiting Scholar Yasaman Hashemian is a 2014 recipient of the Vilcek Foundation prize for Creative Promise in design.
“I grew up in a country with a very dry education system,” says Yasaman Hashemian of Iran. “It was not interactive; it was not joyful; and perhaps worst of all, it was often boring.” Outside the classroom was an entirely different world, however.
